About

As tempting as anonymity is, I’ll step out of the (virtual) shadows for a bit and actually talk about myself, rather than journalism.

The basics: my name’s Meghan, I’m 24 years old, and I want to be a journalist. I’m a third-year student at Concordia University in Montreal, with a few years left to go before I can graduate. I love to write, consume media, and am pretty comfortable with blogging. You can probably figure all this out just by reading my posts and investigating a bit further into this site; I’m pretty much an open book.

What you may not know: I’m obsessed with video games, music, and Broadway theatre. I feel most at home sitting walking through the ramble in New York City’s Central Park. My current life goal is to find myself happy and healthy, living in Manhattan. I love horror movies, am a thrill-seeker, and love to lose myself in a good book. I’m pretty outspoken, but do sometimes come off as being shy. I’m fiercely loyal except when it comes to technology. Sometimes I get scared of the dark. I like long walks on the beach and candlelit dinners and… this is starting to sound somewhat like a personal ad.

The thing you should come out of this blog with is that there’s a person behind the words. I’m not a robot, sitting around and writing things that I’ve been programmed to. I’m a real living, breathing, independently thinking person just like you – imagine! My words and opinions are my own, but feel free to share yours with me.

Thanks for reading… and may the odds be ever in your favour.

(I may have forgot to mention that I’m ever-so-slightly obsessed with The Hunger Games.)
